Description:

This position will assist with the creation of academic and non-academic courses for the Center for Teaching Innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting ID staff and faculty with mapping curriculum as needed
  • Creating high-quality, interactive content based on information provided by faculty and the instructional design team
  • Assisting in creating accessible course materials
  • Assisting with learning, implementing, and evaluating new applications and tools, primarily in Canvas
  • Assisting office staff with varying projects and using a wide range of technology
  • Creating promotional and/or supplemental materials
  • Providing a student-centered mindset to problem solving
  • Attend meetings with faculty or stakeholders for various projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience desired
  • Professionalism, including strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivation to work independently or as a member of a team
  • Willingness to learn new technology skills such as HTML/CSS and other educational software
  • Ability to easily switch between tasks and prioritize multiple projects
  • Comfort and familiarity with Canvas, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Suite desired
